| Shirodhara
is a modern purification and rejuvenating therapy based on an ancient
Indian technique. In Sanskrit language Shirodhara is composed of
two words shiro + dhara. Shiro means head and Dhara means flow of
warm oil on head. Sesame or another base oil is mixed with a few
drops of aromatic essential oil to create the liquid. It is then
warmed till a comfortable temperature is reached and the treatment
begins. The exact combination of the oils depend on the body constitution
and is decided and prescribed by an Ayurveda expert. |
